1 BEFORE THE TEACHER STANDARDS AND PRACTICES COMMISSION 2 OF THE STATE OF OREGON 3 4 In the Matter of the ) DEFAULT ORDER OF 5 Teaching License of ) LICENSE REVOCATION AND 6 CHRISTOPHER JOHN KLITGORD ) REVOCATION OF RIGHT TO APPLY 7 ) FOR LICENSE 8 . 9 On September 2, 2009, the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (Commission) 10 issued a Notice of Opportunity for Hearing to Christopher John Klitgord (Klitgord) in which the 11 Commission charged him with conviction of a crime Iisted in ORS 342.143(3). The Notice was sent 12 via U.S. First Class Mail and U.S. Certified Mail Receipt 7008 1140 0002 8580 8808, to the address 13 on file with the Commission. The U.S. Certified Mail Receipt was returned to the Commission on 14 September 4, 2009, signed by G. Delgado. The Notice of Opportunity of Hearing, dated September 2, l 15 2009, and signed by Victoria Chamberlain, Executive Director, stated: ‘ 16 "You, Christopher John Klitgord, are entitled to a hearing on the proposed action of the 17 Commission. If you want a hearing, you must file a written request for a hearing with 18 the Commission within 21 days of the date of this notice." 19 20 Mr. Klitgord did not request a hearing. The Commission, therefore, finds Mr. Klitgord to be in 21 default and enters the following findings of fact, conclusions of law and order, based on the 22 files and records of the Commission concerning this matter. 23 24 FINDINGS OF FACT 25 1. Mr. Klitgord has been licensed by the Commission since August 8, 2008. He currently holds 26 an Initial Teaching License, with endorsements in Advanced Mathematics and Basic 27 Mathematics at the High School Level, valid from August 8, 2008, until February 8, 2010. 28 2.
