This crime involved Mr. Earles’ niece who was a minor at the l3 time of the crime. The Executive Director took action to notify Mr. Earles of intent to revoke 14 license, and to inform him of his opportunity for hearing. 15 16 The notice, dated March 23, 1998, and signed by David V. Myton, Executive Director. Mr. l7 Earles did not request a hearing. 18 l9 FINDINGS OF FACT 20 21 1. William A. Earles, III holds an Emergency Teaching License endorsed in Computer 22 Technology, limited to Vernonia School District and valid from September 30, 1996 to 23 September 30, 1998. 24 25 2. On February 23, 1998, William A. Earles plead guilty and was convicted of the crime of 26 Sex Abuse III in Columbia County Circuit Court. . 27 ‘ 28 3. , This crime involved Mr. Earles' niece, a minor at the time of the crime. 29 30 ULTIMATE FINDINGS OF FACT 3 1 32 William A. Earles,III plead "guilty" and was convicted of the crime of Sex Abuse III in Columbi 33 County Circuit Court on February 24, 1998. 34 35 CONCLUSIONS OF LAW 36 37 Under ORS 342.175 conviction for the crime of Sex Abuse III requires the Commission to 38 revoke the license of an educator. 39 40 ORDER 41 42 The Commission revokes the Oregon Emergency Teaching License #208464, issued to William 43 A.
