1 BEFORE THE TEACHER STANDARDS AND PRACTICES COMMISSION .1 OF THE STATE OF OREGON 3 In the Matter 0f the ) STIPULATION OF FACTS 4 Teaching License of ) AND 5 FLOYD ALVIN STRANDBERG ) ORDER OF REPRIMAND 6 On October 23, 2002, the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (Commission) 7 received a complaint from Joi Gleason, an employee and patron of Brookings-Harbor School 8 District alleging that Floyd Alvin Strandberg (Strandberg) violated Standards while serving as 9 Principal of Brookings'Harbor High School. 1'0 After a review of the matters alleged, Mr. Strandberg and the Commission have agreed 11 that their respective interests, together with the public interest, are best served by a stipulation 12 to certain facts and imposition of a Public Reprimand. 13 This Order sets forth the facts upon which the parties have agreed and the sanction to 14 be imposed. Mr. Strandberg stipulates that there are sufficient facts contained in the . Commission’s files and records to support the findings of fact and conclusions of law set forth 16 below. In entering into this stipulation, Mr. Strandberg waives the right to a hearing to contest 17 the findings of fact, conclusions of law and order set forth below. 18 This stipulation is contingent upon approval and adoption of the Order by the 19 Commission. If the Commission does not adopt this Order, neither Mr. Strandberg nor the 20 Commission are bound by these stipulations and he retains all rights to a hearing on the 21 allegations. 22 STIPULATION OF FACTS 23 1. The Commission issued Mr. Strandberg an Initial Administrative License with an 24 Administrator Endorsement on May 14, 2002. Said license expires on August 11, 2005. 25 2. On August 30, 2003, Mr. Strandberg resigned as Principal of Brookings-Harbor High 26 School to be effective September 5, 2003. Mr. Strandberg currently resides in Michigan. “T'H . This behavior constitutes Gross Neglect of Duty and ' Gross Unfitness.
