The Executive Director took 17 action to notify Ferguson of intent to revoke his Oregon Teaching License, and to ‘ 18 inform him of his opportunity for hearing. The notice, dated August 24, 1998, and ‘ 19 signed by David V. Myton, Executive Director, was sent by U.S. Certified Mail, Return 20 Receipt Requested and U.S. First Class Mail. Mr. Ferguson did not request a hearing. 21 22 FINDINGS OF FACT 23 24 1. Michael Allen Ferguson holds a Standard Teaching License with Handicapped 1' 25 Learner II endorsement valid from December 4, 1997 to November 11, 2002. 1 , 26 27 2. Ferguson was employed as a special education teacher at Centennial High 28 School. 29 30 3. On August 12, 1998, Ferguson entered a plea of “guilty” to one count of Sex 31 Abuse III in Multnomah County Circuit Court. 32 33 4.
