Thereafter, Mr‘ Adsit 8 requested a hearing through his attorney, James Brown. The Commission and ML Adsit have 9 now reviewed the issues connected with this proceeding and have determined that their 10 respective interests and the public interest are best served by a stipulation to certain facts and an i ll order imposing a suspension for 30 days of Mr, Adsit's Oregon Administrative License. In 12 entering this stipulation, Mr. Adsit waives his right to a hearing and understands that the i . 13 Commission will impose a suspension of his administrative license. r 14 STIPULATED FACTS ' 15 Mr. Adsit and the Commission stipulate as follows: 16 1t Mri Adsit holds an Oregon Administrative License. I 17 2. From 1991 to June 1997, Mri Adsit was employed as Superintendent of the I: Perrydale School District in Amity, Oregon. 20 3. On June 30, 1994, Mr. Adsit hired Dennis Fast to work as an employee for the 21 Perrydale School District. Mr. Fast served as an employee of the school district from 1994 until 22 the spring of 1997. While under Mr. Adsit's direct supervision during the 1995-96 and 2 1996-97 school years, Mr. Fast was assigned responsibilities and engaged in work activities that 3 may only be performed by a licensed teacher or administrator. 4 This Stipulation and Proposed Order is contingent upon approval by the filll Commission. 5 If the Commission does not approve this Stipulation, the matter will be returned to the 6 Commission for a hearing or other action, and neither Mr. Adsit nor the Commission shall be 7 bound by any of the matters contained herein. 8 9 J Date: 41 A51 y 7 10 Timothy Lee Adsit 12 ___________— Date: //?/W David V. Myton, Executive Director 13 Teacher Standards and Practices Commission . 14 ULTHVIATE FINDINGS OF FACT 15 Mr. Adsit deliberately assigned Dennis Fast to duties that required an Oregon Teaching 16 License or an Oregon Administrative License. 17 CONCLUSION OF LAW 18 The above conduct constitutes gross neglect of duty in violation of OAR 584-020-0040(4)(i). 19 ORDER 20 Based on the foregoing, the Commission suspends the Oregon Administrative License of 21 Timothy Lee Adsit for a period of 30 days from June 1, 1999 through June 30, 1999. 22 IT IS so ORDERED this ( fifday “Ami/999. 23 AQ . y g 1 24 _ . .
