Myton, Executive Director 0f the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) issued a notice of opportunity for hearing on the basis of a proposed denial of Garrison’s application for a teaching license. The notice was amended June l4, 2000, to include the statutory and rule basis for the proposed denial. Garrison requested a hearing on May 10, 2000, and on August 10, 2000, she withdrew her request for hearing. Ms. Garrison is in default. OAR 137-003-0670(1). FINDINGS OF FACT 1 Garrison entered a plea of guilty to perjury in violation of Alaska statute 11.56.200(a) on September 2, 1999. CONCLUSIONS AND REASONS The records of TSPC are adequate to establish Garrison was convicted of felony perjury in Alaska and such finding is adequate to establish a violation of good moral character standard 0f OAR 584-020-0040(2) and demonstrates gross neglect of duty expected of teachers and gross unfitness as specified in OAR 584-020-0035(3)(a) and OAR 584-020-0040(3)(c) and (d), and (5).
